Ray McCormack

Ray McCormick is a 4th generation farmer, and a lifelong passion for conservation has made caring for our nations resources and inspiring others to do the same his life’s work. He farms with his son Nate and raises corn, wheat, and soybeans using a 100% no-till on 2,000 acres and utilizes cover crops on the majority of these acreages. Ray has a peach orchard from which he markets tree ripened peaches at his farm and at the local farmers market. Ray has a wetland restoration construction business and has been involved in the restoration of over 12,000 acres of wetlands in 4 states. An owner of over a 1,000 acres of wetlands and 1,000 acres of woods, Ray specializes in creating wildlife habitat, prairie restoration, wetland  restoration, migratory bird habitat and enjoy helping other landowners to do the same. Ray has a waterfowl hunting business and his 3 labs help him spend the winters guiding waterfowl hunters. Creating and restoring wildlife habitat along with quality deer management are what keeps the spirits up in a competitive agricultural landscape. Ray’s motto is; “I never say no when it comes to conservation”.
